Barbera
The origins of this variety from which we produce this wine
are very old, but the first documents that testify it date back
to just some centuries ago.
In one of the first documents that concern it, Barbera is described
as a "strong and always severe, but rich of a wonderful flavour
and with a taste that is strong but fine".
This DOC has always been one of the most appreciated in the Italian
oenology: famous for its warming properties, this wine was chosen
by Savoyards soldiers for their military expeditions.
Grignolino
Grignolino d'Asti is obtained by the homonymous grape variety.
Among the hypotheses about the origins of its name, the most reliable
is that Grignolino would derive from "grignole", that
is the Piedmont dialect name of the grape seeds.
Cortese
It is a very good wine to be drunk during the meal.
Cortese is one of the most typical Piedmont white grape variety;
it has its origins on our hills and was already known in the XVIII
century.
