FOR MORE THAN TWO CENTURIES WE HAVE BEEN CULTIVATING THE ART
OF THE VINEYARD AND THE WINE
The first official news about our activity as vine-growers have
been found in a will of one of our ancestors, Carlo Zuccaro,
dated 20th January 1822.
The history of our farm has its origins in 1700, when high
quality grapes were already grown in the vineyards of Francia
and Bricco della Lepre, in the hamlet of Repergo, Isola D'Asti.
Generations after generations the passion of producing good wines
arose and improved.
Today, respecting the traditions and using modern machineries,
we still cultivate excellent grapes on those hills chosen for
their great position, and we produce high quality wines at
right prices.
In the heart of Astigiano
Astigiano is the land between Langhe and Monferrato.
Here, millions of years ago, there was the sea, as shown
by the numerous fossils discoveries. The generous land, made
of sand and clay, the mite and windy climate, with
cold winters and dry summers, allow us to follow the course of
the nature without any forcing. We are in the typical production
area of the most important Piedmont wines: red wines as
Barbera, Dolcetto and Grignolino; and Cortese for
people who love a dry white and slightly fizzy wine; these are
the grapes that we cultivate in our vineyards in Isola and Vigliano,
in the province of Asti.
